Reducing the Risk (RTR) is a 16-session curriculum designed to help high school students delay the initiation of sex or increase the use of protection against pregnancy and STI/HIV if they choose to have sex. This research-proven approach addresses skills such as risk assessment, communication, decision making, planning, refusal strategies and delay tactics. The Reducing the Risk (RTR) Basic Set for virtual implementation includes:
- Digital Flipbook of the Teacher's Guide
- License to print or download fillable PDF versions of Student Workbook pages for 30 students. Order additional student licenses (beyond the 30 included).
- PDF versions of Activity Kit cards and posters
- PowerPoint support tool for RTR that covers all key content and activities
Purchase of Reducing the Risk includes ETR’s virtual Training of Educators (TOE) that equips sexual health facilitators with the knowledge and skills to implement the program with youth. ETR’s distributive learning process is an interactive, research-based approach for the acquisition of knowledge and development of skills, and includes modeling, self-reflection and follow-up support. Once you purchase the program, you will be contacted to schedule your training. See the Training Calendar for available dates and times.
