Youth Curricula Title IX Essential Lessons Packs

The Title IX Essential Lessons Packs (T9-ELPs) are designed to help K12 districts and schools prevent sexual and gender-based harassment and sexual assault by: 1) educating elementary, middle, and high school students about the fundamental concepts related to sexual and/or gender-based harassment and sexual assault; 2) building students’ skills to recognize, intervene and report harassment; and 3) establishing a culture of respect in the school community.

The T9-ELPs are designed to complement existing health education efforts in K12 districts and schools and serve as a critical component of their efforts to comply with Title IX, the federal law that prohibits discrimination based on sex in educational programs that receive federal funds.

Developed by ETR’s K12T9 Initiative, this evidence-informed curriculum is based on five determinants of student behavior, provides trauma-informed guidance for facilitators, and is aligned with the 2020 National Sex Education Standards and the 2020 Title IX Regulations.
