Image A6b1 Complex Description

Diagram of the reproductive system of a body with a penis, shown from the side, with the following organs labeled with their names, starting at the top of the diagram and proceeding clockwise around the drawing:

  • Seminal vesicle, an oval-shaped structure that connects to the tube of the vas deferens
  • Prostate gland, a darker, larger oval-shaped structure that the tube coming from the seminal vesicle goes through
  • Cowper’s gland, a small round organ located just below the prostate, which is connected to the tube coming from the prostate gland
  • Scrotum, shown as an outline around the testicle, representing the sac of skin that hangs down outside the body and contains the testicles
  • Testicle, pictured as a dark oval-shaped structure that is inside the outline of the scrotum
  • Epididymis, shown as a layer that sits on the side of the testicle and runs along it’s length, with the tube of the vas deferens coming off it
  • Penis, a tube-shaped organ that hangs down in front of the body
  • Urethra, a tube that runs the length of the penis, coming out the tip of the penis, and connected to the tube shown connecting the seminal vesicle, prostate gland and Cowper’s gland
  • Vas deferens, a tube that curves around the other organs, shown starting at the epididymis and then connecting with the seminal vesicle and running through the prostate gland
  • Bladder, a larger oval-shaped organ pictured above the prostate gland, with a tube leaving it that joins the vas deferens inside the prostate gland
