Biography

Rahani Green, MPA, (she/they), is a health equity activist passionate about anti-racism, gender and sexuality, and community engagement. She serves as the Project Coordinator II, Adolescent, Sexual, and Maternal Health at ETR.

At ETR, Rahani is responsible for planning, designing, and delivering culturally tailored public health curricula and interventions for youth and adults, as well as facilitating trainings and providing technical assistance to diverse audiences with a focus on Black women and other BIPOC communities. She currently supports the Yes and Know, Black Infant Health, and INSPIRE+ projects.

Prior to ETR, Rahani most recently served as the Equity Strategist and Program Manager at Global Jazz Community, a community-centered start-up providing cultural events and education to BIPOC communities in New York. She also previously served as the Editorial Officer at The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation and her public health background also includes research, training/facilitation, communications, and policy/advocacy experience at the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Human Rights Watch, the NYC Department of Health & Mental Hygiene, VOCAL-NY, and Peer Health Exchange.

Rahani received an MPA in Health Policy & Management with a specialization in International Health from the NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. She conducted her capstone research in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, studying the integration of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) into other developmental sectors. She also has a BA in Psychology with a minor in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Studies from the NYU College of Arts & Science and a certificate in Project Management from Google.
