Biography

Jessica Detrio, MSW, holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Utah and a Master's degree in Social Work with a concentration on Social Policy and Evaluation from the University of Michigan. Her career in social work spans various roles, including working as a victim advocate for the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Department, a refugee foster care case manager, and a United States Peace Corps Volunteer focused on healthy youth initiatives in Lesotho.

For the past eight years, Jessica has been an internal evaluator and evaluation consultant for youth-serving programs in Southeast Michigan. With more than 15 years of experience across multiple sectors, such as advocacy, community organizing, maternal and infant health, housing and homelessness, education, and youth development, Jessica brings a wealth of knowledge to her work.

Specializing in community-based and culturally responsive evaluation, Jessica emphasizes systems, equity, and power analysis in her approach. Currently, she serves as the Evaluation Support Manager for the Reimagining Youth's Sexual Health Equity (RYSE) project.
