The Effective Delivery of Technical Assistance
As a solution-focused organization, ETR uses science as the foundation for our professional development work to increase the likelihood of positively influencing health outcomes. ETR defines professional development as follows: the systematic process used to strengthen the professional knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors of the individuals, teams and groups with whom we work. Using a research base, professional development is consciously designed to bring about learning transfer leading to motivation, positive change and measurable improvement. In the context of this definition, the provision of technical assistance is considered a type of professional development.
The Effective Delivery of Technical Assistance: A Toolkit was created by ETR to support the work of professional development practitioners.
